Members of AVPU attended at the Youth in Action program of the European Commission .

 “YOUTH ECO SUMMER” (YES) international project under 3.1 Youth Exchanges (Youth Exchange Program) of Youth in Action program of the European Commission was held on 06-19 July in 2014 in Lvov, Ukraine.

The project was organized by AUAYC “Alternative-V” organization of Ukraine and was held in partnership with Spain, Belarus, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Poland, Hungary, Georgia, Armenia, the Czech Republic.  Azerbaijan Volunteers’ Public Union also participated as a partner in this international project.

In the project, where  6 participants including 1 group leader from 10 countries Azerbaijan Volunteers’ Public Union (AVPU) represented our country with 7 members.

Purpose of the project: purpose of the project was to develop active citizenship, solidarity  of youth, to agenda issues  affecting the environmental situation, to protect environment and to show importance of being environmentally friendly to youth from different countries.

Non-formal education methods were used during the project.

Excursions were organized for the participants, through this discussions were held between them and participant countries had a chance to familiarize with the use of the most effective and widespread methods

while protecting the environment.

At the same time, they had a chance to share those experiences with young people in the local community of Lvov region, participants initiated to increase awareness about the environmental situation and to  improve it
